Week 9 Activity

I am going to be doing the following activities from Chapter 7 with Liv (I still need to choose a book):





These activities all focus on collecting evidence from the story, which is vital to comprehension.  Liv usually does really well with relating to characters and their feelings, which is why I chose the first two activities.  I chose the third because I feel that it is important for every student to be able to determine the purpose of text.

    I like the activities you show to use with Liv. I think it's great that you're choosing activities to build on her strengths as a reader as well as choosing more challenging activities that are crucial elements to understanding text. I'm anxious to see the results! :)

  2. I am using the first two answer frames as well. I feel as if I don't explain characters in as much detail as I could. The last answer frame does sound more challenging so I agree with Whitney that I am interested in seeing how she does with it!

  3. I also plan to use the first two answer frames with my student using the text Tacky the Penguin. Since my student is a struggling second grader, your third activity would probably be overwhelming for him. Looking forward to your results!
